"Follow the Lights" is an EP by Ryan Adams & The Cardinals released October 23, 2007. The EP contains three new songs and four live studio recordings, including a cover of "Down in a Hole" by Alice in Chains. The EP features the first official recording of the song "Blue Hotel" by Ryan Adams & The Cardinals. The song originally appeared on Willie Nelson's "Songbird" album. "This Is It" was previously recorded for "Rock n Roll", "If I Am a Stranger" for "Cold Roses", and "Dear John" – which was co-written by Ryan Adams and Norah Jones – for "Jacksonville City Nights".

"Follow the Lights" debuted at number 40 on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling about 19,000 copies in its first week.
