Ayoob was the Bears starting quarterback for most of the 2005 season after an injury toNate Longshore in the season's first game. Ayoob lost his starting job towards the end of 2005. Steve Levy started for Cal in the place of Ayoob in theBig Game and the 2005Las Vegas Bowl that season. Ayoob relieved Longshore in the 2006 season opener against Tennessee after Cal was behind by over 20 points and during the 2006Holiday Bowl when Cal was up by over 20 points. Ayoob graduated from theUniversity of California Berkeley in 2007.Joe joined the
