Peguan language

The Peguan language is a Mon language spoken in Bago in southeastern Burma (lower Burma).cite encyclopedia |title =Mon language, or Peguan language, or Talaing language |encyclopedia=Britannica |publisher=Encyclopedia Britannica online |accessdate=2007-09-20] The city of Bago was formerly called Pegu. In the late 1800s, Europeans' first contacts in Burma were with the people of Pegu.
