"The Music People" is a triple sampler album from CBS Records released in the UK in 1972. Previous compilations had proved successful in marketing CBS' catalogue, but this was to be the last of the series. By this time, most of the artists featured had already gained fanbases and the others, in retrospect, were not to achieve the same fame.
