John Åge Lundström (
June 8 ,1890 inLandskrona –September 26 ,1975 ) was a Swedish Air Forcegeneral and horse rider who competed in the1920 Summer Olympics and in the1924 Summer Olympics .Lundström became officer 1910 and was appointed
liutenant atLivregementets dragoner 1916. He became an air force pilot 1924 and was appointedcaptain of theSwedish Air Force 1926. The same year he became teacher at the Royal Air Force Flight Academy. He was appointed commanding officer of theF 4 Frösön wing in 1931 and commanding officer of Royal Air Force Flight Academy during the years 1932-1943. In 1948 he waschief of staff ofFolke Bernadotte 's delegation inPalestine , and was an eyewitness to Bernadotte's assassination. Strömsholm during the year 1919-1921. He became Swedish champion in foil fencing 1914. In 1920 he and his horse "Ysra" were part of the Swedish equestrian team, which won the gold medal in the team eventing competition. They also won the silver medal in the individual eventing. He also competed in the individual jumping event with his horse "Eros" and finished 14th.Four years later he and his horse "Anvers" won the gold medal with the Swedish jumping team. In the individual jumping event they finished tenth.
