Todd Erdos

Todd Michael Erdos (born November 21, 1973 in Washington, Pennsylvania) is a former middle-relief pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the San Diego Padres (1997, 2000), New York Yankees (1998-2000) and Boston Red Sox (2001).

In a five-season career, Erdos posted a 2-0 record with a 5.57 ERA and two saves in 63 pitching appearances, including 58 strikeouts, 45 walks, 21 games finished, and 93 ⅓ innings of work.

Following his Major League career, Erdos played in the International League for Pawtucket (2002), Rochester, (2003-2004) and Indianapolis (2004), joining later the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League (2005-2006). A 2005 AL All-Star, Erdos had a mark of 5-5 in two seasons for the Ducks while registering a club record 40 saves and a 4.28 ERA in 86 ⅓ innings. During the 2006 midseason, Long Island announced that the contract of Erdos has been purchased by the Brother Elephants of the Chinese League.
