Plucky (Farthing Wood)

Plucky (Farthing Wood)

Plucky is a fictional character from the animated children's television series The Animals of Farthing Wood based upon the books of the same name by author Colin Dann. Plucky is the only seen offspring of the red foxes Bold and Whisper, and also the grandson of the original Fox and Vixen. He is an intelligent buck who takes after his grandfather.

Although most of the original Farthing Wood creatures had either died or vanished by the time Plucky was born, Plucky still is loyal to the Oath. He befriends a female hare named Dash, who is one of the the Hare's offspring (the other being Leveret), who are both seen as background characters in series 2. Plucky often races with her to see who is the swiftest.

At some time in the story, he vanishes. It is later found out that he had been taken to a new fenced off section of White Deer Park by the Warden. Here there is also an unknown female fieldmouse, a grey squirrel and others.

Fox, getting on, accepts Plucky as new 'leader' of Farthing Wood animals.
