Biography

Moyer graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Theater and Film in 1994 and began touring as a full time stand-up comedian. Not long after, he paired up with fellow BYU alums Kurt Hale and Dave Hunter to pioneer the LDS film comedy genre by writing "The Singles Ward", which was based on Moyer's own life experiences as a stand-up comedian and a single member of the LDS church. He followed up with "The R.M.". Finally inspired by being from New Jersey and experiencing the culture shock of moving to Utah, John wrote, produced, directed, and co-starred in "Mobsters and Mormons".
