Edgar Morais (born June 25), 1989, is a Portuguese actor.Morais began acting at the age of 14. Edgar studied at the Professional Theatre School of Cascais, Lisbon. While studying there he played Gil Vicente, António José da Silva, William Shakespeare, Molière, Almada Negreiros, Brian Friel, Sophocles, Aristophanes and Jean Genet among many others.Among other subjects, he got training in Stage combat, Physical theatre, Vocal pedagogy and Dancing.

As an actor for the theatre it is worth mentioning the parts he played in "Alice" by Eva Le Gallienne and Florida Friebus, at the Mirita Casimiro Theater, "The Kitchen" by Arnold Wesker, at the Experimental Theater of Cascais, "Brain Storm" by Polly Toynbee and the multi-awarded "The Tragedy of Julius Caesar" by William Shakespeare, directed by Luís Miguel Cintra, Cornucopia Theater at the Municipal Theater Saint Luiz, Lisbon, winner of a Golden Globe for best theatrical show of the year (2008), presented by Peter O'Toole. He appeared for the first time on the "big screen" in 2007's "From Now On" ("Daqui P'rá Frente" in Portuguese), directed by Catarina Ruivo followed by the 2008's american indie "Coach Shane", directed by Drew Renaud in which he played a psychologically troubled teen. It was with "The Tragedy of Julius Caesar" that he gained respect in the industry, the play, directed by Luis Miguel Cintra (considered one of the European best theater directors) was awarded with a Portuguese Golden Globe (Globos de Ouro) for Best Theatrical Show Of The Year (2007).
