Simon Slåttvik (
July 24 1917 –May 5 2001 ) was a Norwegiannordic combined skier who competed in the late 1940's and early 1950's. He won gold in individual event at the1952 Winter Olympics inOslo .Slåttvik also won bronze in the individual event at the
1950 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships inLake Placid, New York . He won 14 Norwegian championships and was the first Nordic combined athlete who jumped over 100 m.Slåttvik won the Nordic combined event at the
Holmenkollen ski festival three times (1948, 1950, and 1951). For his successes, he was awarded theHolmenkollen medal in 1951.External links
