Presently, the school’s enrollment is approximately 250 students from pre-school to eighth grade , with approximately twenty-five students per class. The school intake comes from Millbury, the
Blackstone Valley , Worcester and the surrounding towns. Assumption School is accredited through theNew England Association of Schools and Colleges .Academics
At the school, all grades to grade five are self-contained. Grades six, seven and eight, however, are departmental. All students have art, music, computer, French and physical education classes. Students in the seventh and eighth grades are involved in the Diocesan Declamation Contest each spring. Assumption School has a middle school science fair bi-annually and students participate in the Diocesan Science Fair.
Daily Schedule
A full day at Assumption School is from 8:45pm to 3pm. Millbury residents can use local school bus transportation, However, familiesfrom neighboring towns must provide their own transportation. The school provides an after school care program for students from 3pm to 6pm, for a minimal fee. The school meals are provided through a satellite program from the Millbury Public Schools.
Sports
Assumption School has a boys and girls cross country team and basketball team. The cross country team is split between boys and girls. The basketball teams are split between boys and girls in grades five and six, and grades seven and eight.
