Deborah Little

Deborah Little

Rev. Dr. Deborah Little is the founder of Ecclesia Ministries in Boston, Massachusetts, which provides services to the homeless, and of Common Cathedral, a Sunday worship service on the Boston Common open to and designed for homeless participants.

Debbie grew up in the suburbs, had a liberal arts education and worked for 25 years at traditional jobs. Although she liked the work she was doing in communications and management, she decided she wanted to share her life trials and lessons with others through the vehicle of spirituality and the safe community it creates.

Debbie has created a new, radically open worship community on the street, bringing together people of diverse religions, races, classes, and occupations, and is currently working on a project to encourage similar street ministries in other cities. She also serves on the Consumer Advisory Board for Boston Healthcare for the Homeless.
