Agios Dimitrios, Aghios Dimitrios or Ayios Dimitrios (Greek: Άγιος Δημήτριος meaning
Saint Demetrius ) is a village located in the municipality ofAmaliada in the northern part of theprefecture of Ilia and in the western part of thePeloponnese . Agios Dimitrios has a small school a church which is named Agios Dimitrios and a square ("
plateia ") in the central part. The area sits on a valley which the Peneus river is to the north. Forests surround the village and the western part along with some groves. Farmlands are to the east, the north and partially to the south with pastures and as mixed farming. The hills are to the south and 2 km north. It is mainly grassy but forests are to the south. A water control for the dam is about 1.5 km E and 1.5 km W of the dam. It was built in the 1960s. The water control sit next to the hills.ee also
