Philadelphia University is a university in Amman, Jordan.

Philadelphia Private University was established in 1989 as a national higher educational institution. The university is located 20-km out of Amman, on the road linking between Amman and Jerash.

Philadelphia University has enrolled more than 7,494 students in the university’s 8 faculties in the year 2006. The university is composed of 368 academic staff.

As it carries the former name of Amman under the Hellenistic rulers, it shows Hellenistic columns in its logo. The flag places the logo on a white background.

* Engineering
* Law
* Pharmacy
* Information Technology
* Administrative & Financial Sciences

The Library

The Library was established with the University itself in 1991. It aims to contribute to the University's mission in teaching, research, and community development through providing and developing information resources using the latest trends in information technology.

In addition to lending books, the Library provides photocopying, guidance, and current awareness services along with the electronic resources services.

The Library building was officially opened on 1st November 1998. It consists of four floors comprising an area of 7,234 m2 and 2,145 seating capacity meeting the accreditation criteria requirements of 9,000 students.

Faculty of Engineering

The faculty of Engineering was found out from the beginning of establishing the university , it contains 24 laboratory provided with the latest devices and technology.

The Faculty of engineering is divided to five departments:
* Mechanical Engineering
* Electrical Engineering
* Electronics and Communication Engineering
* Computer Engineering
* Mechatronics Engineering
