Thomas Giles (pastoralist)

Thomas Giles (1820-1899), was the son of William Giles (1791-1862), one of the Commissoners of the South Australia Company. He was a business associate of George Anstey and developed pastoral leases on Eyre and Yorke Peninsulas during the 19th century.

He is remembered by the name Giles Corner, in South Australia, a locality along the Main North Road, situated at the junction where the Barrier Highway branches off towards, Riverton, Burra and Broken Hill.
