Richard C. Dorf is the Professor Emeritus of Management and Electrical and Computer Engineering at the
University of California, Davis . He received his Ph.D. from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School.Professor Dorf researches and teaches
entrepreneurship ,innovation management ,management of non-profits ,new venture management ,venture capital management , andtechnology policy and technology management . He is a consultant in engineering project development, commercialization, innovation, management and new business ventures. He teaches courses in New and Small Business Ventures, and Sustainable and Responsible Business.Professor Dorf has authored more than 30 books, including his latest, , co-authored with Professor
Thomas Byers ofStanford University . The textbook, which is used in the school’s New Business Ventures course, is the first to thoroughly examine a global phenomenon known as "technology entrepreneurship".Professor Dorf authored books:
