"Hey Baby (After the Club)" is a song by Ashanti initially intended as the first U.S. single from her fourth studio album, "The Declaration" (2008), [cite news |first= |last= |authorlink= |author= |coauthors= |title=Ashanti "Hey Baby (After The Club)" : premier single issu de "The Declaration" |url=http://www.musiqueradio.com/article_news5014_ashanti-hey-baby-after-the-club--premier-single-issu-de-the-declaration.php |work=Musique Radio |publisher= |date=December 6, 2007 |accessdate=2008-06-04 |language=French ] although it is not included on U.S. editions of the album. It was written by Ashanti, Mario Winans and 7 Aurelius and produced by Aurelius and Winans.

The song was released to the U.S. iTunes Store on October 16, 2007, and was made available for airplay on rhythmic crossover radio stations the same day. A blogger for the "VIBE" magazine website wrote that it "sounds like "Last Night 2.0." Was any effort put into this song at all? Ashanti's new CD is scheduled to drop this December so there's still time for a better song to be dropped as a single, cause this ain't the one."
