The story follows Cinderella, a character pretty much similar to the original one, and Rufus. They live with Cinderella's stepmother, and two stepsisters. Cinderella meets Prince Arthur Charming in the Royal Garden, as the king plans a royal ball for the prince. Arthur convinces the king and Queen Featherstone to give Cinderella an invitation. They plan to meet at the ball, each with a flower, and not knowing that Arthur is the prince. In the meantime, the stepfamily seemed to have already gotten the invitations to the ball. Cinderella helps them select a present for the king: old socks. Cinderella tells her stepmother she wants to go, but the stepmother says she can go if she finishes her chores, and fines a suitable dress, carriage, and coachman for the ball before the last midnight (although it is the last minute). Up to this point, the fairy godmother, same as Pinnochio's, tried to turn a pumpkin into a carriage as the finishing act of a magic show. The fairy godmother appears, and after the stepmother leaves, the fairy godmother gives Cinderella a party dress, and crystal slippers. Then, after finally getting the spell to work and having a pumpkin carriage appear in the kitchen, sets off to find
Kermit the Frog .She convinces him to drive the carriage, on the condition that Kermit is not turned into a human coachman, and that Splurge, a rather ghastly monster friend of Kermit helps out. But Splurge scares away the horses, and so Splurge pulls the carriage, for both Cinderella and the fairy godmother (she says she has to be sure Cinderella's home by twelve). At the ball, Cinderella and the prince dance together, not aware that the prince is Arthur and the maiden is Cinderella. Cinderella and the fairy godmother ran away from the palace at the stroke of twelve, losing a glass slipper. The prince, careless, accidentaly smashed it as he ran after Cinderella. The king hires all his horses and men (reference toHumpty Dumpty ) to put the slipper back together. They fail. So, they look in all the unlikely places for the other glass slipper. When they find it, they will marry the owner. But Cinderella, still wanting to marry Arthur the gardener not Arthur Charming the prince, gets Rufus to burry the slipper. But then the prince arrives, and Cinderella realizes who the prince is. She tries to explain that she's the mysterious princess, yet no one believes her. Finally, the fairy godmother appears, but in an attempt to turn Cinderella's rags back into the ball gown, Cinderella vanishes. In the meantime, Kermit and Splurge return the slipper. After a number of times, Cinderella appears in ball regalia, and she and the prince are finally marriedCast
