Ruben Gomez (singer)

Ruben Gomez (b. 25 April 1974, Brooklyn, New York) is a singer/songwriter/actor.

He debuted in a McDonalds commercial at the age of six. In 1987 he joined the band Menudo. He recorded 9 albums with them. He also appeared in musicals and Venezuelan soap operas. In 1989 the hit release "No Es Una Ilusion" which was recorded when he was 9 years old was release on McGillis Records. The next solo release was "Move" which was a Miami styled Dance track also on McGillis Records.

In 1997 he released his self-titled debut album. In 2000 he had a hit song, "Siempre Mañana (Tomorrow Forever)". Another hit was the song "Baila Conmigo".

In 2005, Gomez reunited with other former members of Menudo in Brazil for a Reunion tour. They called themselves "." The tour never happened, but a single was recorded, with 'Ruben' singing the lead vocals.

Currently, Gomez is concentrating on his solo career as well as his acting career.

In 2006, 'Ruben' reunited with former "" member 'Anthony Gallindo' and toured thru Brazil as the duo "Blacksheep." They have grown a large fan base throughout Latin America.

In December of 2007, 'Ruben' performed at "The Office" in Miami Beach. He worked with the band "Ovrhol" at this event.
