Carter Community Sports College is a mixed 12-16 secondary school in Hamworthy, Poole, Dorset, England. The school serves the Hamworthy and Turlin Moor areas and pupils are taken from Hamorthy and Turlin Moor Middle Schools.
Background
The school opened in 1950 as Herbert Carter Secondary School which was named after Alderman Herbert of Carter's tiles which where based in Hamworthy. The school was the first secondary school to be built after the Second World War in Poole.
The school has had extensions such as the sports hall in 2003. The school became a sports college in September 2003 and is one of two sports colleges in Poole, the other being Rossmore Community College
This is the school no-one likes and should be closed pretty soon! Mrs McBlain is a pretty bad judge of character and hired teachers that treat their students as if they were roughly 3 years of age, no one should goto this school, if they do expect them to have a very bad education
And to verify Carter is no longer a sports college as they did not enter for the name this year. They have made such an emphisis on sports for many years and are now not entering for the name, what a waste of time and about £1,050,000 of the lottery funding.!!!
