Field Marshal Fat'hi Abu Taleb is the former head of the joint chiefs of staff in the Jordanian military. He rose to become one of the most influential military men in Jordanian history.

Upper house of Parliament

Abu Taleb is part of the upper house in the Jordanian parliament [ [http://www.jordanembassyus.org/new/govlisting.shtml Embassy of Jordan (Washington, D.C.) - Government Listing ] ] and is very close to king Abdullah II.
