Amcom Telecommunications Limited (asx|AMM) also known as Amnetcite web|url=http://www.amcom.com.au/default.aspx?MenuID=2|title=amcom- ABOUT|accessdate=2007-09-13] is a Perth, Western Australian based telecommunications company.

History

Amcom was founded in 1988 by Mr Andrew Mclean to provide cabling services to CBD based corporations and institutions in Perth. Amcom acquired a telecommunications carrier licence in 1998cite web|url=http://www.amcom.com.au/getfile.aspx?Type=document&ID=637&ObjectType=3&ObjectID=1193|title=WA Industrial Review - March 2007|accessdate=2007-09-14] and begun building a fibre optic network.

Acquisition of Arachnet

In September 2005, Amcom acquired local Perth based Internet service provider Arachnet, which it purchased for AU$1.6 million adding 5,200 broadband and 2,100 dial-up customers to their user base, increasing Amcom's total broadband numbers to 7,500.cite web|url=http://whirlpool.net.au/article.cfm?id=1537|title=Amcom snaps up Arachnet for $1.6m|accessdate=2007-09-14]

Acquisition of People Telecom's Perth corporate services business
