- Santa Rosa Park, Sydney
Santa Rosa Park is located in the suburb of Ryde in
Sydney ,Australia . The park is off quarry and bridge rd. This park is used for football matches during the football season. Also the park has got a separate phatway for walking and bike riders. The Ryde City council has recently added bins around the park. They have added a cricket pitch in the middle of the park, which hasn't been used for a competitive match. The cricket pitch has made some of the football players upset and there are no goals seeing as though there is an off season.CONSTRUCION
As you can see in the picture below it shows that the trees are taking up large quantites of the park, while the football season was on many players kicked there footballs in the trees and had to go down and find it ( places like behind the trees ) and there is a flow of water running down which is hard to get. So recently there has been construction and they have cut down all the trees, and are still deciding what to do, probably making the park bigger.
Santa Rosa Park officially changed its name in 1976. Before then, it was called Santa Rosian park, named after the Armenian-born founder of Ryde, Aram Rosian.
