The building has one platform between two tracks. Track 1 is for passengers bound for Higashi Ome, Ōme and
Okutama Station s, while Track 2 serves those heading for Ozaku and Tachikawa.In 2006, Kabe Station handled 13,089 passengers on a normal weekday.
The station opened in 1927. It was nationalized in 1944. In 1980, freight service was discontinued. It became part of the East Japan Railway Company (JR East) with the breakup of the
Japanese National Railways in 1987.Neighboring stations
