Kunai Knights

Kunai Knights is a role-playing forum based upon the popular manga, Naruto, created by Masashi Kishimoto, which made its debut in 43rd issue of Japan's, Shonen Jump. The forum, which is currently hosted by the invisionfree free forum service is a slowly growing community of Naruto and role-playing enthusiasts.

Creation

Kunai Knights was started by Micah Lewis, a student currently attending Johnson and Wales University, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. After nearly three years of role-playing on a multitude of different sites, Micah utilized a network of people from a multitude of sites to bring about the creation of his very own. For nearly a month after the board's creation, a friend from a past role-playing website, known only by his internet alias "Krompt" assisted Micah in the creation of many aspects of the site. After nearly three months of working on and off, Kunai Knights had it's grand opening on April 1, 2007.

Role Playing

The site is a strictly non-canon role playing forum promoting a rather lax atmosphere, but places great importance upon users' role playing ability and further enhancing one's descriptive and writing skills. The role-play is set in the fictional village called Kirogakure no Sato [Village Hidden in the Cross Roads] in order to accommodate for the sites size and the multitude of different chakra affinities and elements. A upon joining the site, a user creates a character and begins as an Academy Student, the lowest ranking of ninja. During this time they have a chance to train, create scenario's for themselves or for a multitude of users on the site, face-off against one another and every so often take an academy exam to become a genin, the next level of proficiency for a ninja. After the user becomes a genin they are placed in a "cell" or small group with other users, led by a higher ranking ninja [either NPC's or one of the administrators] . The cell then carries out missions and trains together in order to further the ninja's abilities and allowing them to rise through the shinobi ranks.

Future

Since Kunai Knights' opening in April it has slowly grown into a decent-sized role-playing site. It has nearly broken the 50 member mark and it's users have made nearly three-thousand posts [As of September 12, 2007] . Because of Micah's current college situation he has entrusted three members with running the site, who's internet alias' are Krompt, Dyson, and I.D., making each one of them an administrator at the same time.
