Mousumi Das is one of brightest star in the sky of Bengali music. Starting from traditional folk, religious Bengali songs (bhakti geeti) and Begali modern songs (Bangla adhunik), Mousumi stunned people loving bengali music. Mousumi Das is equally famous for her Hindi songs. She has performed all over India and almost all over world. Mousumi Das acted in quite a good number telefilms. An eminent media personality of Kolkata, Mousumi is associated with Lions Club as culter Director.

First playback in Assamees cinema: “Dharma” and released personal album in same year.Met dream composer R.D Burman in 1993.

Playback and perform with most of the BollyWood singers like Manna Dey, Suresh WadKar Nitin Mukesh, Kumar Shanu, Udit Narayan, Sudesh Bhosle, Shan, Babul Supriyo and others. Consistent performer as a solo artist in the biggest function of West Bengal – Haldia Utsav.Received “Bharat Nirman" ”award in 2004 as a Youngest awardee.Released puja album “Ami noi se ami”- lyrics by Nachiketa Chakroborty First abroad tour in 2003.
