Pete Brock (born
15 November 1936 ) is a former racing car designer from theUnited States . In the early 1960s he worked withCarroll Shelby at Shelby American where he was the designer for the iconicShelby Cobra Daytona coupe.FIA World GT Champion 1965In 1966 Brock started his own motor racing team,BRE Brock Racing Enterprises which worked with Hino,
Datsun andToyota and competed in SCCA DP class with Datsun 2000 roadsters and CP class with the 240Z (SCCA National Champions '70-'71) and 510 in the 2.5Trans-Am Series races in the early 1970s. (National Champions '71-'72 The company was disbanded in 1972.Brock now lives in the
Seattle area, working as freelance automotive writer and is a racing photographer.He is currently involved with the
Brock Coupe , a modern version of Daytona Cobra Coupe and other similar high performance cars. Over 120 Brock Coupes have been produced in South Africa and sold by Superformance, LLC (Superformance Replicars). He owns an example of the coupe (chassis #0073) painted Amulet Red with a Wimbledon White half-cove.External links
