Athens and began playing football aged 4. He played for the Athens youth team Vrilisia F.C. for around 4 years before his family moved to theUnited States in 1998. InChicago , he played with Green And White and joined theUS Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP) where he was recognised by Chicago Magic, the number one US boys' club.
