Terry McCaleb

Terrell (Terry) "Terror" McCaleb is a fictional character featured in the novels of Michael Connelly.

Terry McCaleb was a relentless criminal profiler for the FBI assigned to a field office in Los Angeles due to the frequency of his services being needed in the city. While tracking down "The Code Killer", McCaleb suffered heart trauma, to the extent that he needed an organ transplant. While recovering from his surgery, McCaleb is contacted by the sister of the woman who's heart was implanted in his body, Graciella Rivers. Frustrated by the stalled investigation of the LAPD, Rivers contacts McCaleb (who she suspects of being the recipient thanks to an article anonymously sent to her) and asks him to investigate her sister's murder.
