1635 -January 21 ,1693 ) was a Japanesedaimyo of the earlyEdo period who ruled Okazaki, Yokosuka, and then theMurayama Domain . Toshinaga was the 6th son ofHonda Tadatoshi , lord of theOkazaki Domain . He succeeded to family headship upon his father's death in 1645; however, he received only 50,000 of the 60,000koku that had comprised Okazaki under Tadatoshi's rule; the remaining 10,000 was divided between his brothers Sukehisa and Toshirō. He was transferred to Yokosuka during the same year; however, the shogunate confiscated the domain in 1682, due to Toshinaga's alleged misconduct and repressive governance. He was later pardoned, and given 10,000 koku of land inDewa Province , which became known as theMurayama Domain . Toshinaga died in 1692, at age 58, and was succeeded by his son and heirHonda Sukeyoshi .Toshinaga's grave is at
