- Nadikdik Atoll
Nadikdik Atoll also known as Knox Atoll is the southernmost
atoll in theRatak Chain in theMarshall Islands . It contains 18island s as well as numerous smaller emergentislet s with a total area of 0.98 km², that enclose a largely sand-filledlagoon al basin which covers a total area of 3.42 km².The atoll measures 11 km in length and is 2 km wide. The atoll consists of a chain of small islets located on the western and northern sides. The largest islets include
Aelingeo ,Nadikdik andNariktal .The atoll is connected by a passage called the
Klee Passage to the southern point ofMili Atoll which it was once connected to.Marshallese from other islands in Mili Atoll inhabit the island for months at a time to produce copra. There is at least one homestead there.
