Sharon Farrell (born December 24, 1940) is an American television and film actress.

Biography

Career

Born Sharon Foresmoe [ [http://www.famousfolk.com/real/names-f/ Famous Folks Real Names] ] in Sioux City, Iowa, she made her acting debut in the 1959 film "Kiss Her Goodbye". Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Farrell appeared who in such films as "The Reivers", "Marlowe", "It's Alive", "Night of the Comet", "The Stunt Man", "Out of the Blue", and "Can't Buy Me Love".imdb name|id=0268331|name=Sharon Farrell]

In addition to film work, Farrell also appeared in guest roles on various television shows including "Death Valley Days" and "Hawaii Five-O".

Farrell's career was tragically interrupted when her heart stopped beating for four minutes during childbirth. She incurred brain damage, and was virtually unable to read, write, or memorize. After extensive sessions of re-learning, Sharon returned to acting in the early '70s, her work load increasing as her recovery progressed. In 1991, she joined the cast of the long-running soap opera "The Young and the Restless". She remained with the show until 1999. Farrell's most recent on screen appearance was in an episode of "JAG" in 1999.

Personal life

Farrell has been married three times and has one child, Chance Boyer, with actor John Boyer, whom she never married. She is currently married to film director Dale Trevillion, whom she wed in 1975.
