Productions and MGA Entertainment. Both the TV quiz show and the DVD game are hosted byAlex Trebek and use the iconic "Jeopardy!" game board consisting of 30 clues (6 categories with 5 clues each). Both also use assorted video clues including the fan-favorite "Clue Crew" videos.__FORCETOC__
Gameplay
In the DVD game, up to 3 people can play. Individual wireless buzzers are used to navigate through the categories on the Jeopardy! game board and to select clues. Once a clue is selected, Alex Trebek then reads the clue and players have an opportunity to buzz in if they think they know the correct question to the clue.
Scoring is identical to the TV show, including the Double Jeopardy! Round, Daily Doubles and Final Jeopardy!
The DVD game contains 20 original, full-length episodes. It is unique from other Jeopardy! home game versions because it is the first to use individual buzzers and "Clue Crew" videos just like the TV show.
The game differs from traditional DVD games in that includes both a DVD disc and a "gambase unit", which communicates with your DVD player and your remote buzzers. This was done to better simulate the experience of being an actual contestant on the TV show.
Unlike the TV show, the "Jeopardy!" DVD Game requires the user to respond to clues by selecting from three choices.
