Basic information

Established in 1968, KidKraft is a Dallas-based design and development company that creates toy, gift and furniture items for both its own KidKraft brand and private labels.

KidKraft manufactures dollhouses, wooden toy trains, rocking horses and various other products that are staples of the toy industry. The company also manufactures a large number of indoor and outdoor furniture pieces, including bookshelves, toddler beds, step stools, tables and chairs.

KidKraft is a licensee of Harley-Davidson, John Deere and Hello Kitty products.

StyleKraft by KidKraft is the name of KidKraft’s line of furniture made for preteens, teens and adults.

On its Web site, KidKraft posted a message detailing how the company tests its goods: "We regularly test our products to ensure they meet applicable US regulatory safety standards which include 16 CFR 1500 Federal Hazardous Substances Act (FHSA) for mechanical hazards and flammability and 16 CFR 1303 ban of lead-containing paint (CPSC and CPSA). In addition, we test to the soluble heavy metals content requirements and mechanical hazards of ASTM F-963, which is the standard consumer safety specification on toy safety." *
