Lucinda Nightbane (aka Princess Lucinda) is a fictional character that started in a short lived web comic but is now due to become a published Comic by Channel M, a American comic and game company. Princess Lucinda has built quite a fan base among fans of her comics and online art work by various artists.

Lucinda is a pre-teen girl from another dimension. Depending on sources, she is 11 or 12 years old. She can be described as sardonic, cruel, and intelligent. She has no love of humans (who she sees as little more than hairless apes) and follows no rules but her own seeing herself as above human law.

She is very mature for her age and can even be understanding to those who treat her like the princess she is. Lucinda has shown also fits of melancholy when reminiscing by her slain parents and actually obeys her older sister Millicent (her only surviving relative).

Publication

Lucinda appeared in a short running web comic named Bruja-Ha in 2006. Most of the basic history of the character was established there. After the various attempts at other Princess Lucinda comic were tried.

In 2007 Lucinda became joined up with Channel M and has become their flagship character appearing in her own comic as well as part of the Witch-Girls world.

Origins

Lucinda was born on a world in another dimension. Her parents where the despotic and cruel rulers there. However, despite being evil they loved their two daughters (Lucinda and her older sister Millicent). Her permissive parents allowed Lucinda to do as she pleases and the people of the “Empire” feared her almost as much as her parents.

Eventually (when Lucinda was eleven) the forces of good stormed her families’ castle and overthrew the evil empire, killing Lucinda’s parents. As a final act of love of her daughters, their mother sacrificed a group of wizards and bound their power to open a door to earth (a backwards world where no one would look for them.)

The princesses arrive in a large city (That though not named appears to be New York)and make their life there.

Powers

Lucinda’s race is extremely longed live, heals faster, and is immune to the frailties of disease and poison. Although Millicent has to wear glasses and Lucinda needs reading glasses.

Lucinda's main power is her impressive magical abilities. She was one of the most powerful magical users on her planet where magic is common and part of it is inherited from her parents (Mother a witch, father a warrior necromancer) and part of it is due to her mother transferring the knowledge and power of dozens of magicians in her to protect her daughter.

Lucinda's powers though not all encompassing seems to have very little limits when it comes to transforming people or other things (which she does often). She also has exceptional skills at divination, necromancy and elemental type magic’s as well as mind control and levitation.
