Vittorio Rieti

Vittorio Rieti

Vittorio Rieti (January 28, 1898 – February 19, 1994) was an Italian composer. Born in Alexandria, Egypt, Rieti and moved to Milan to study economics. In 1925, he moved to Paris. In 1939, he moved to New York City and, in 1944, he became a naturalized citizen of the United States.

His music is tonal and neo-classical with a melodic and elegant style. One of his pieces is "Quintet for Woodwind Instrument" written in 1957.
