Karl Adam "Bud" Anderson (born May 27, 1956) is a former Major League Baseball relief pitcher, born in Westbury, New York. He was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the third round of the 1977 amateur draft. Anderson signed on to play Minor League Baseball in the Seattle Mariners organization. He batted and threw right-handed during his baseball career.

Major League Baseball career

The Seattle Mariners traded Anderson to the Cleveland Indians on March 29, 1980, to complete an earlier trade. Anderson made his major league debut on June 11, 1982 with the Cleveland Indians at age 26. On that day, Anderson pitched three scoreless innings in relief. In 1976, Anderson pitched one complete game. Despite having a 3.35 earned run average in 1982, Anderson had a losing record of 3-4. Anderson's team went on to finish 6th in their division. In 1977, Anderson had a 4.08 earned run average. On the day of his final major league appearance, Anderson pitched three innings, with three earned runs.

At the time of his retirement Anderson had a 4-10 record, a 3.68 ERA, 62 walks, and 76 strikeouts. Anderson never came to bat during his major league career. His lifetime fielding percentage was .900.
