David Hevey

David Hevey

David Hevey is a UK filmmaker, writer and photographer. He has directed many films for tv, including Ten Thousand Private Eyes, Suicidal and the BBC landmark series, The Disabled Century. As a critic, he wrote for Creative Camera and appeared on the Late Review. As an academic, he wrote The Creatures Time Forgot for Routledge. As a photographer, he shot for LA Movieline, Time Life and the United Nations. Despite his multidisciplinary background, he is primarily a filmmaker. He now runs Real Films Ltd with his business-partner and co-writer, Bet Balcombe. He lives in Bloomsbury, London. He is currently producing and directing The Barriers Odyssey, a multi-platform film trilogy for release in 2008/9.
