Pablo Pontons (1606-1670) was a Spanish painter of the
Baroque period.He was born in Valencia. He trained with
Pedro Orrente . The Convent of Mercy was adorned with his designs. He painted along withJacinto Geronimo de Espinosa paintings for the Church of Maria inMorella . He painted scenes from the ‘’life of San Pedro Nolasco’’ for the convent of La Merced in Valencia. He also painted for monastery of La Cartuja del Puche. He was also a reputable painter of portraits.References
