Snæfell (youth association)

The Snæfell youth association (Umf. Snæfell) was founded in Stykkishólmur on October 23 1938. Many sports have been practiced within the association from the founding of it but not all of them have lasted. Sports that are currently active within Snæfell are basketball, football, track & field, swimming, volleyball and sailing, with the most popular being basketball.
