HOF=Frank Michael Stams is a former American football defensive lineman who played at the
University of Notre Dame inSouth Bend, Indiana . He was the defensive MVP of the 1986 Orange Bowl, and played on the 1988 National Championship team. He would later play in the NFL, where he was converted tolinebacker . He was nicknamed "The Man" for his massive size and strength for a defensive end.He currently is a radio football broadcaster for the
University of Akron . He also is an assistant coach for the freshmen team atWalsh Jesuit High School inCuyahoga Falls, Ohio .
