History
The school is named after Sir John de Graham.
In 1998, it was decided by the Scottish Executive that five local schools, including Graeme High School, would be rebuilt [http://www.scotland.gov.uk/pfi/documents/pfi06-10.asp] .] . Graeme High was rebuilt on the playing fields east of the original school. In August 2000 the replacement school was opened by the then
First Minister Donald Dewar [http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/892622.stm] .] . At the time Public Private Partnership scheme (PFI) project that included the rebuidling of Graeme High was one of the largest in theUK .Traditions
There are three houses - Lockhart, Morrison and Steele which are all named after the first three Rectors of Graeme High School. Steele House are currently the holders of the Inter-House Cup for the second year running. They are controlled by the House Captain's and Vice Captain's from each house and is lead by the three current Deputy Rector's of the school .
