Pancho Prin (Francisco de Paula Prin Villegas), was born in Cúa, April 2, 1930, working from very young in farms, also demonstrating aptitudes for the music, obtaining the support of folk singers like, "Juan Onofre Machillanda" and his grandfather "Filomeno Echezuría", who was a recognized harpist.

“The King of the mirandino song”, as Pancho Prin was catalogued, makes his first recording in 1948, next to the teacher Pablo Hidalgo, who accompanied him in many productions, along with musicians like Ricardo Latorre, Juancito Martinez, Gabriel Cirilo Ruiz, Dionisio Bolivar and Valerio Calzadilla. In 1978 receives from the Municipal Council of Cúa, the Cristóbal Rojas prize in its first order.

Pancho Prin, spread his art by countries like, United States, Mexico, Spain, Saudi Arabia and Japan, being this one the last trip that he made before his death. Prin dies in Caracas, February 11, 2003, having an artistic career of more than fifty years, recording 59 albums and internationalizing the Joropo Central.

Between his better known songs, they emphasize, "El Gavilán pollero, Canto al Amanecer Tuyero, La Madrugada llanera, El Aguardiente, Atardecer Mirandino", among others.
