XED-AM are the call letters of perhaps the first radio station in
Mexico to be considered aborder blaster . XED-AM was originally located atReynosa ,Tamaulipas , and was under the advertising sales management of the International Broadcasting Company. Located across theRio Grande (Rio Bravo ) river fromMcAllen ,Texas , USA, the station broadcast with a power of 10,000watt s (10 kW) which was the most powerful transmitter in Mexico at that time.The current XED broadcasts from
Mexicali ,Baja California , and is part of theYuma, Arizona andEl Centro, California radio markets.References
