Ulster Minor Hurling Championship

The Ulster Minor Hurling Championship is the Minor (under 18 years of age) "knockout" competition in the game of hurling played in the province of Ulster in Ireland. The series of games are organised by the Ulster Council. The competition began in 1930, with Down winning during the inaugural year. The most successful county to date is Antrim who have won on 36 occasions. The current Ulster Minor hurling champions are Antrim. The winners represent Ulster in the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship.

Roll of Honour

* 1938 Antrim walk-over, as Donegal were disqualified.
* 1941 Antrim only team to take part
* 1967 Special final. Down took part in All-Ireland "B" competition, while Antrim competed in All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship.
* 1968 Antrim only team in "A" championship. Down won Special Minor Hurling Championship and went on to win the All-Ireland title.
* From 1971 to 1983, the Ulster Championship was for the weaker counties and the winners played in the Minor "B" All-Ireland series. Antrim played in the Leinster Minor Hurling Championship in 1971 and in 1977 to 1983. They represented Ulster in the All-Ireland "A" championship from 1972-76. After winning the All-Ireland "B" championship in 1978, Down also competed in the Leinster Minor Hurling Championship from 1979 to 1983.
