The Pure Ones are a group of owls from the fictional series Guardians of Ga'Hoole.

The Pure Ones are a fearsome collection of evil owls bent on murder and the belief that only Tytos (Barn owls, Masked owls, Grass owls, Sooty owls) are "pure". Also, they believe that Barn owls, Tyto Alba, are most pure. The Pure Ones claim that Glaux - the owl from all species of owls descended - was a Tyto Alba himself. These discriminative notions have caused the death of many innocent owls. The Pure Ones build up their forces by snatching and training owlets, similar to St. Aegolius Academy for Orphaned Owls. In the beginning, these owlets were "stone stunned", another form of brainwashing. During this process, the snatched owlets were forced to sleep in the cryptic tombs of "the Others". Once an owl becomes stone stunned, they will not be able to think for themselves, mostly muttering sentences the Pure Ones forced upon them.

The former leader of the Pure Ones - or the High Tyto - was Kludd, brother of Soren. When he claimed his spot as leader through a fight against the former High Tyto, his face was mangled. He had a rogue smith forge a mask of mu metel to cover up his wound, earning himself the name Metal Beak. Kludd was killed in the Battle of the Burning by an ice sword wielded by Twilight. The sword split his spine, causing instant death.

The current leader of the Pure Ones is Kludd's widow, Nyra. She presumed her fallen mate's position in hopes of completing his horrible task. She is noticeable by her unusually large size, her moon-white face, and the deep scar that runs diagonally across her face. The scar was made by Otulissa in the siege after Nyra killed Strix Struma.
