- Stefani Joseph
Stefani Joseph is a British figurative painter who has participated in both national and international exhibitions. Her recent works include oil paintings inspired by the works of Velázquez and
Vermeer and small works depicting nightclub scenes. Her large works are expressionist and figurative, reminiscent of works by such painters asMax Beckmann ,Paula Rego , andLucien Freud .Her recent series of superb small works in oil shares similarities with works by both
Henri Matisse and Lucien Freud. Stefani Joseph's work, however, has an undeniable identity marked by her superior sense of composition and brilliant manipulation of color. Her intense brushwork and the use of allegorical iconography render her work an almost theatrical dimension momentarily inviting the viewer to partake in the burlesque stage. She holds an FA degree from the Ruskin School of Drawing at
University of Oxford and MA and MFA degrees from theSavannah College of Art and Design , USA.Recent Solo Exhibitions:
