Rise of the Shadowhand

Rise of the Shadowhand is the logical expansion to the original Dark Reign. It involves two whole new races to the game, and thus allowing for various strategies and build orders to be changed around, it effectively doubled the games versatility, causing it to be a massive seller in the UK and US.

Both the races are variants of the Freedom Guard, and the Imperium respectively. The Xenites have native creatures to supplement their infantry, while the Shadowhand employ computer controlled tanks, and mechs. Also The Bion is the basic infantry for the Shadowhand instead of Guardian, and the Bions slot is filled by the Reaper robot soldier, that is effective against vehicles & buildings, but cannot fire at air like the Bion.

The Shadowhand campaign deals with the introduction of the Xenites, and the Shadowhands pet project, "Osiris". Osiris is an artificial intelligence that the Shadowhand hopes to use to command its troops in battle.
