(1996)"V Inside Out" was an album released by
MC Hammer in1995 .After the decrease in popularity and sales of his last album, "
The Funky Headhunter ", Hammer decided to return to his clean pop image. As with any artist, he was changing with the times and music style. The album was a look within Hammer's deep artistic self and featured dance, gospel, and emotionally driven tracks and spawned two singles, "Sultry Funk" and the gospel single "Going up Yonder", both of which was performed by Hammer on the dance show "Soul Train" and made local city radio station's countdowns.
The singles didn't go as far as previous releases due to Hammer's failing popularity as a "
sell out " artist, and the album itself was considered a flop in contrast to his prior albums, only debuting at 119 on the Billboard charts. However, with the attention of VH-1's "Behind The Music " which showcased songs from the album at that time, the album did get notable attention. It is well liked by devout Hammer fans, even considered one of his best.Track listing
