Kukuxumusu ("The Drawing Factory/Marrazki Fabrika/La Fábrica de Dibujos/La Fabrique de Dessins/La Fàbrica de Dibuixos") is a company from
Pamplona ,Navarra ,Spain specialising in clothing and product design. Its name means "flea's kiss" in Basque. The company was founded at Pamplona's
San Fermín festival of1989 . Three friends made t-shirts as souvenirs of the bull-running and bull fights. The company gradually grew and is now one of the key images of San Fermín, making other products such as porcelain, key rings andpostcards , in addition to clothing. It has opened exclusive shops in Pamplona and principal cities of the Basque Country and the rest ofSpain , and is sold elsewhere in over sixty countries.Kukuxumusu's designs are distinctive for their style and humour. Their most famous designs involve bulls and the San Fermín runners in their traditional red and white clothing. The bulls may be seen chasing the runners over the sea on surfboards, or apparently uninterested in the San Fermín activities. In some designs, the roles of the humans and bulls are swapped. Other designs often involve animals, devils or Basque symbols such as the
lauburu in humorous situations. They are a popularsouvenir in Spain. To their line of clothing and souvenirs Kukuxumusu has added computer
screensaver s and virtual postcards, with their usual unique humor.External links
